If approved, the Trans-Pacific Partnership will reduce Tariffs and encourage trade between Eastern and Western hemispheres. Companies such as Nike would benefit highly where they have factories in sweatshops in Asia, whereas companies such as New Balance would suffer greatly where they provide approximately 1350 jobs in the U.S.(Maine and Massachusetts in particular). New Balance claims to have made or assembled 25% of its products in Maine and Massachusetts, as well as many jobs across the country in various positions.
